Day 8: Holiday Food & Drink

The 12 Days of Blogmas event will take place from December 9 – December 24. There will be a prompt for each weekday of the challenge. The prompts are based around the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas” and can be found below with a small description. Each day, you’ll create a post for your blog based on the prompt of the day. Then, you’ll come back to The Coastie Couple or The Petite Mrs to link up your post. After linking up, you’ll be able to check out other blogs who are participating. We do expect you to share the love with fellow bloggers that are participating in the event.

You can find graphics and other goodies for all of the prompts in the Facebook group, but I’m also going to list them here for those of us that don’t want to add another group to our list.

One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is to eat, eat and eat some more. I enjoy some hearty meals and quite a few of the provided treats that come with family gatherings. I have checked off many of my holiday list to do’s. I enjoy taking all the advantage of the season and especially when we have snow which is only a few times in the winters’ coldest weeks, usually January. Here’s what I did with my night tonight- hope you enjoy! 🙂

I decided to make some peanut butter cookies tonight and although they weren’t from scratch but they sure taste good!

So I followed the directions and started off with these simple ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of vegtable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bag of  betty crocker cookie mix

Mix in mixing bowl and blend well, incorporate the dry mix in the bottom well until soft, slightly wet dough. Form into small balls (12 on a ungreased baking sheet) about 2 inches apart and bake for 10 mins. (I’d reccomend a little less maybe as mine were a little too brown on the bottom)

I’m so proud they turned out so good. I had so much fun making them tonight and getting back into the spirit of the season. Granted like I said they aren’t home made but I would if I wanted. It’s all good.

I like to also link up with Krysten from Why Girls are Weird and share my happy list every Friday! It makes me so thankful and makes me look forward to the future. These days I have a lot going on so it’s nice to be in a happy mood come Friday and see what makes everyone else happy too!

  • going to Dave & Busters with friends
  • ordering a new dresser
  • Amazon Echo (Alexa) virtual speaker system
  • wearing fur vests
  • BOOTS “with the fur”
  • erin condren on the go life planner
  • reconnecting with old friends
  • coffee dates/blog dates
  • checking off everything on my to do list
  • packages in the mail and snail mail/pen pal letters

Have a great, wonderful and fabulous day! I have already and I know it’s only going to get better! Happy Friday everyone!
