The 12 Days of Blogmas event will take place from December 9 – December 24. There will be a prompt for each weekday of the challenge. The prompts are based around the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas” and can be found below with a small description. Each day, you’ll create a post for your blog based on the prompt of the day. Then, you’ll come back to The Coastie Couple or The Petite Mrs to link up your post. After linking up, you’ll be able to check out other blogs who are participating. We do expect you to share the love with fellow bloggers that are participating in the event.

You can find graphics and other goodies for all of the prompts in the Facebook group, but I’m also going to list them here for those of us that don’t want to add another group to our list.

Well considering that we *honestly* have spoiled ourselves this year and without much family to buy for- we just have kept to ourselves. Although we ended up donating a very generous amount to Toys for Tots and that made us quite happy and excited for the kids to recieve all kinds of fun new toys that will light up their holiday! I really don’t need anything but for the sake of this post I will share some more of my shallow wants and wishes… here goes!

1. Clarisonic Mia

2. Nume` Curling wand/straightening iron set

3. Polaroid camera (pink/purple)

4. Victoria Secret Very Sexy Push up Bra(s)

________________________________________________________________________________
So thats all I got for ya folks,
I am so thrilled that I am more than happy and blessed at this point in my life than I was years prior. I am so thankful for each and every one of you in my life. My husband is wonderful and we have super spoiled each other this month so far. A lot of the things we bought actually were planned and things we wanted/needed for our new apartment and things we have been waiting to get for awhile (so it’s justified).
Tell me what you’re wishing for!
I’m also very happy that we will be able to visit and be around his brother and his fiance’/her son, so I’m really really looking forward to seeing them since he moved to Alaska-we miss him-he’s a fun part of the family and takes any tension out of the air.

I love each and every one single of you….Merry Merry everyone!

Day 11: Holiday Photos

I’ll tell you a little story about my family and the fact that we have limited pictures saved from my childhood time and even before. My mother was one person who saved everything. Every picture, momento, tag, card, award and medal, any single thing from our childhood that could/would hold sentimental value in our lives. She stored them for years in big, blue plastic storage tubs, all stacked neat and safe from any harm. But one of the times my mom was moving all her belongings about after a divorce and a hard period in her life, she packed it up into a U-Haul and had it at my grandparents for a limited time. Now I wasn’t present so I don’t know who’s fault it was or who was responsible but that U-Haul was repossessed. And you guessed it- all our things went with it… pictures, mementos, her clothes, furniture and antiques etc, her whole livelihood was just, gone.
Needless to say we have limited physical objects left from all that nonsense. Despite that my memories in my head are rich and everlasting; so for that I am grateful.
I will present you the photos I have left that I treasure
Me at about 3 yrs old opening a toy
My dad and I at our cabin for the holidays
Me and my sisters with my kitchen set
 my family photo
 Me opening presents
 My sister and my dad
my dad opening his imfamous hat
 at home, family christmas
 opening my kitchen set
 funny family snapshot
 my dad and grandfather
my dad’s side of the family
I hope that this makes you feel very happy when you see me and my family and how I own my remaining memories. I love how each of these photos makes me feel. These were all spread over my whole growing up period from young infancy to young teen. I cherish all the times we were together since now I have lost so so many since then. I hope you enjoy them all.
*do not take or reuse-I have them watermarked*

Getting into the holiday spirit this year for me has been especially difficult and weird. So I’ve been listening to holiday music and I’d like to share my top 9 songs here now.
If you are having a hard time like me, getting festive even this close to Christmas day- turn this on and go dance around your house, bake cookies and you’ll be in the mood in no time!

another FAVORITE from a movie…. (this girl is SO TALENTED)
THE END.

One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is to eat, eat and eat some more. I enjoy some hearty meals and quite a few of the provided treats that come with family gatherings. I have checked off many of my holiday list to do’s. I enjoy taking all the advantage of the season and especially when we have snow which is only a few times in the winters’ coldest weeks, usually January. Here’s what I did with my night tonight- hope you enjoy! 🙂

I decided to make some peanut butter cookies tonight and although they weren’t from scratch but they sure taste good!

So I followed the directions and started off with these simple ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of vegtable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bag of  betty crocker cookie mix

Mix in mixing bowl and blend well, incorporate the dry mix in the bottom well until soft, slightly wet dough. Form into small balls (12 on a ungreased baking sheet) about 2 inches apart and bake for 10 mins. (I’d reccomend a little less maybe as mine were a little too brown on the bottom)

I’m so proud they turned out so good. I had so much fun making them tonight and getting back into the spirit of the season. Granted like I said they aren’t home made but I would if I wanted. It’s all good.

I like to also link up with Krysten from Why Girls are Weird and share my happy list every Friday! It makes me so thankful and makes me look forward to the future. These days I have a lot going on so it’s nice to be in a happy mood come Friday and see what makes everyone else happy too!

  • going to Dave & Busters with friends
  • ordering a new dresser
  • Amazon Echo (Alexa) virtual speaker system
  • wearing fur vests
  • BOOTS “with the fur”
  • erin condren on the go life planner
  • reconnecting with old friends
  • coffee dates/blog dates
  • checking off everything on my to do list
  • packages in the mail and snail mail/pen pal letters

Have a great, wonderful and fabulous day! I have already and I know it’s only going to get better! Happy Friday everyone!
