“Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.”
-The Ultimate Sacrifice- FOR YOU…
Today our pastor talked about sex and Gods’ relationship with married couples and their sex lives. Also about single people and how to not disappoint God and yourself but not spoiling it before you are wed. I thought about myself not being a virgin in my case when I married Sean and until today, I never thought it was a big deal- but now I see clearly as to why it is and why it’s even more special to save it and share that moment with your spouse and God. God never closes his eyes, he never steps out when two beings make love and I see how precious this gift of sex is. He touched on speaking about people with infrequent sex lives and how in Gods’ eyes he wants our sex life to be plentiful, good and often. Exodus 20:14 says “You shall not commit adultery.” In this case, our pastor said (which I did not know) that adultery can be anything from prostitutes to porn, romance novels to even thinking of another in a sexual manner and everything in between including sex before marriage or in my eyes ‘giving it all away too early’. I however did not take that road and NOW I see why it’s so important for young teens and unmarried singles to wait and have faith in God that your time will come to share the precious gift. He spoke of dehumanizing and “thingification”‘ of sex-that word I love! And our society does that in movies and books, teens talk of sex all the time, like it’s no big deal and I admit- I was one of those teens, but I hope to act better than that now and know that sex is a treasured thing and never take it for granted.
This actually moved me so much that I am contemplating getting a small cross tattoo on my ankle. I don’t think this one (above) but maybe or one similar. I am truly, truly seeing the word of God and beginning a relationship with him, I love my church community and I love the sermons and songs-most of the time. I feel changed. [It sounds cheesy but I seriously had a moment today when things fell into place in church and all seemed right again.] I am starting a new version of me based on how I should think/act/treat/respect myself and what I deserve based on Gods’ word. I understand more fully now, he died for me and my sins: I don’t plan on taking that lightly anymore 🙂 I’m renewed!
Thanks for listening! Words of encouragement are appreciated greatly!!
So a few things in this post- it might be a long one….[brace yourself]
My Skin Issues:
I have skin issues- breakouts all the time, constantly and never have clear looking.. I’m gonna change that. I am going to slowly but surely take pictures of my skin and (eek!) post them… I’m sure I don’t have horrible skin but, I’m already pretty self conscious about it and very much dislike it. And by already seeing the pictures- I promise it is worse than it looks… My skin is dry, flaky and irritated.. red and bumpy. Mostly appears on my nose, possibly from my puppy dog and kitty giving kisses?! I don’t know, but I have sensitive skin so we’ll see. The worst kind of skin issues all in one. I have taken a new strict skin regimen and decided to try Proactive once daily then to two times daily. Day 1 begins…
(These were ‘before’ photos, but it wasn’t much different after obviously, but felt smoother and cleaner!)
Okay it doesn’t look “bad” but it is in person-like I said above.
& onto the next…
Pen Pal Letter!!!!
So I’m really excited- a woman on the national list, one that I had not written yet- wrote me FIRST! I’m so happy though, it was sweet, genuine and I was happily surprised to find it in the mailbox today along with my late package in the office.
Here is a view:) How sweet.. I’m writing her back right NOW~ :]
Thanks, Emily, you’re so sweet! [great handwriting, sheesh!]

2 whole pages and beautiful handwriting:)
I’m writing her now, I cannot wait…
This Project Pen Pal is so fun, glad I discovered it!

I have hit 100 posts- which I think is neat and THANKS TO THE FEW PEOPLE WHO READ MY BLOG AND HAVE ADDED ME- I also hit 10 followers, it doesn’t matter but I appreciate it so much. Thank you for caring and being interested!
Thank you again!:]
I have decided to join in on the fun over at Night Owl Crafting
and answer the weekly “Hoo Are You?” questions. So here it goes and be sure to hop on over to check out all the other blogs and join in the fun yourself.
1. What did you get/give for Valentine’s Day?
I did not give anything for V-Day but my husband was very sweet to me all day and he made me dinner that was delicious. We spent ‘real time’ together more than anything. We enjoyed it!
2. Do you have a vacation planned in the next couple of months or in the summer?
Hopefully we will be going up to Oak Harbor/Whidbey Is. Washington to see my nephew and sister in March or April.
3. What is one thing you do to pamper yourself?
Color my hair get nails done or paint them myself, get pedis, go out with friends, go out to dinner with hubby.
4. What sparks your interest to other people’s blogs?
I love the personality of it all, colors or simplicity is nice. I like a person who is consistent in their blog, even though I am not like that in mine. I love crafts, quizzes [like this] giveaways and personal stories. I love a blogger who doesn’t mind trying to be friends or get close to other beginner bloggers.
5. What kind of a mood are you in today?
I am feeling lazy and it sucks. I need to get moving and do something, anything. I miss school, can’t find work -ugh- and right now honestly I need a shower. 🙂
So I talked with my friend Victoria last night and we had a great conversation about what polite blogging is, like linking back to original content or passed content, genuinely commenting, social shares and more. So here goes, some shared content from her old blog (
Our Love Never Fails
What inspires you?
My husband encourages me, inspires me and is my biggest fan. I love him with all my heart and soul- he is always right beside me, even when I doubt he’s there. He sticks up for me against myself too, if ever a negative comment passes my lips- he corrects me, fights for me against myself and changes my mind. I love you Sean.
What is your favorite season and why?
Summer. So bright and cheery! Its warm here as opposed to the rest of the 365 and I love wearing sunny day clothes-they are my favorite type of wardrobe.
What are you most looking forward to this year?
I am wanting to raise my grades and GPA, getting/holding a job, volunteering which I want to start soon and making our marriage stronger.
If you could write a book about anything, what would it be about?
I wouldn’t care to write a book either, but if it were, it’d be a diary layout- just like a blog.
What is your greatest passion?
Dance/Writing. I have a ton of years invested into both of these things as well as horseback riding.
If you could change one thing about your life or yourself, what would it be and why?
I wish I could be a little more confident and positive- but it’s something that makes me “me” and I’m pretty happy the way things are.
Lastly, what is your favorite novel?
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
One of the only books I read for school and couldn’t get my nose out of. Sad though, beware…
