free your mind and the rest will follow

I decided to write on what Erin posted for us bloggers to answer a few days ago…
I really love her link ups and she is such a great blogger-on my top 5 list for sure! Watch out Q&A- here goes:

If you could do one thing differently in life, what would it be?
I would not have quit college because it got hard- I would have pushed harder and got more help. I have always struggled with math but I guess the real answer is I would not have let it defeat me which I guess in this case it did. I might think of going back but maybe not for some time. I burnt myself out on school and didn’t want to have the student teacher relationships anymore. I got sick of answering to someone for my errors when I knew they didn’t really care or were coming from a awful judgmental place. I have always been okay at school pulling mostly really good grades As and Bs for the most part, then math just destroyed me and my scholarly confidence.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I would like a nice home and children would be great. But I’m not the kind of person who wants a career, so maybe a job where I can do something simple from home or finish school and get somewhere I’d like to be in an office environment for counseling or whatnot. I’d be happy. I want to enjoy life again and have hobbies, good days and bad days and not take it all for granted and watch it slip away.
What has been the best moment of your life so far?
My wedding so far but I’m sure when I have children it’ll top that! I can’t wait for that moment.

What is your life theme song?
“Don’t wanna miss a thing”-Aerosmith was on my radio just now and seems fitting!
What is the one thing you would like to accomplish before you die?
I’d love to travel. I’d love to photograph and submit great photos in a magazine or book. I want to cook and cook well. Be healthy and fit. Run a 5k. Nurture my kids. Write and publish a piece of writing or poetry.
What has been the most challenging moment of your life?
My father died very suddenly when I was a freshman- 3 weeks in. Tough part, adjusting and AP classes and then POW- dad’s gone. It was a blow for a single (successful) parent. I had no one else. I was tossed around and later found out I was close to going into foster care. I overcame not only the death of my father but finding another sister of mine had been adopted and later living with her and adjusting to a new state, school, home and ? famly.
Summarize yourself in one word.
If you could do anything right now with no consequences, what would it be?
Work. Drive. Be a normal person and have to work for what I earn.
I have a fear or driving and I have never found a decent job I can even stand. So I’d like to be normal for once. Not be so blessed and fortunate to have so much upon me.
What would you like to be known for?
I want to be known for being a good person, loving wife and caring friend. To be known that I was strong and overcame many unforeseeable circumstances in my life. I held my head high and I was stubborn- good and bad quality. I grew out of my timidness and loved everyone very much whether I showed it or not.

tentative goals

Lately, lots of thinking has occurred and I decided for today’s linky post- I will explain a list of current goals to accomplish for my husband and I. I think it’ll be productive and maybe you all can give us some feedback and encouragement.
I’ll give you some background on our lives since this is a linky post and not everyone may know from previous posts I’ve written how our life works. So basically we live a pretty nice (lucky/blessed) easy-going life. We take share in a family company income as a means of our living, will it always be- no, but it is for now and we can handle it being just that. Therefore, my husband is not working- yet. Again many reasons one of which is no license and no car-yet. Sorry I keep saying yet, this is where we get to the list of common goals. It is hard finding good-paying work here (or anywhere for that matter) without a reliable means of transportation and that just doesn’t mean bus or MAX train. So a car is nessecary and he has also been playing or toying with the idea of going to community college to get some more education. We’ll see how that goes! He has no idea what he wants to do so we are taking it step by step.
I on the other hand, have a nice life as well, I am able to be a SAHW and fur-mommy to our pets a cat and two dachshunds. They are trouble and I love them. But a lot to handle so I make sure we run this apartment and home smoothly. And also because I have not found work I can even tolerate. I know work is work but I don’t believe in hating every moment of what you do and fast food or a [crazy] company daycare with no authority just wasn’t doing it for me. So until then… I’m just happy being Mrs. Spaulding! My best and top title.
Tentative Goals
1. To make a medical appointment for husband-tentative this Friday; we have a ride and all, so this is positive. get doctors opinion and make plans from there
2. To go get a copy of husbands’ birth certificate for new ID and license his ID is torn in half and taped- no longer valid and super old so new ID and license would be good
3. To study and take written drivers test & driving test it’s a 3 parter, STUDY, WRITTEN TEST and DRIVING TEST. it’s the written one we need to pass and are worried about- its stupid, common sense and yet, hard.
4. Purchase car from parental figures and get insurance right away
5. Get job with said license/car OR gather school information and make a decision
6. Keep tucking money into savings and saving up for helping funds of house next year
7. Get moving! Workout schedule and resume eating healthy, maybe find good nutrition diet to abide by for the both of us-him=losing weight and me=gaining it or maintaining it

8. We hope to be able to plan a trip in the next year- a cheap one maybe like Disneyland or something, just a quick getaway vaca. $$ for that.

9. Make dental appointment for husband also
Well I think that is our tentative list, so tell me what you think, any comments or encouragement you may have- advice or experinence we’d love to hear it and thanks again for reading. Link up and join the other in this bloglovin’ blog hop!~
much love.

1 thing

One thing I will learn:  to be a mother someday. I want that so very badly.

One place I will go: italy. someday to see my ancestors and relatives who live there now.

One physical habit I will break: being so lazy and not moving around enough, taking walks is something I need to start- if not going to the gym.

One physical habit I will cultivate:  working out. Going to the gym should be important to me.

One mental habit I will break:  beating myself up for everything. no one person can handle the weight of the world on his/her shoulders. I blame myself for every negative thing that happens.

One relationship I’ll repair:  friends. I guess don’t be fooled by fake people and trust those I should trust more.

One work habit I will change: work, period. no matter what that is.

One thing I’ll throw out:

A second thing I’ll throw out:

One thing I’ll eat more often:  fruits and veggies. fish.

One thing I’ll eat less:  junk, fast food,

One thing I’ll drink more:  water. i need more of it to fuel my body and help keep me hydrated and healthy.

One thing I’ll drink less:  soda. I have an addiction.

One resentment I’ll get over:  my mom for never being there to support and love me. she has an addiction and it will always have reign over me.

One person I’ll treat more respectfully:  my husband. he gets brunt force of my emotions- good and bad, which I hate so I’ll work on it.

One thing I’ll spend less money on: clothes, for god’s sake I have overtaken the closet and I have enough clothes for each season and lots of sweaters and coats for rain here in oregon.

One other change I’ll make in my finances: budget. period. we have nothing. as far as set up one, we need to grow up in our financial responsibilities.

One thing I’ll spend less time doing: sitting on facebook. I need to get things done around the house and grow up a little in the meantime.

And a thing I’ll spend more time doing:  spending time and making an effort with my husband and relating to him and his hobbies.
